From South
Korea 's presidential scandal to Malaysia 's 1MDB
fund, very few Asian nations have possessed the capacity to evade the spread of
defilement. However, exactly how unavoidable is the issue over the landmass?
An 18-month
long survey by Transparency International uncovers there is much work to be
finished. Subsequent to conversing with more than 20,000 individuals in 16
nations, locales and regions in Asia Pacific, the report discovered more than
one in four individuals have paid a bribe when using a public service.
While that measurement takes a
gander at the whole area, the numbers for some individual nations are
amazing-and propose debasement is profoundly established in regular daily
existence.
Here are the five most corrupt countries by bribery rates, according to Transparency International.
·
India :
69% bribery rate
·
Vietnam :
65% bribery rate
·
Thailand :
41% bribery rate
·
Pakistan :
40% bribery rate
·
Myanmar :
40% bribery rate
Indians are famous for willingly
paying bribes for things we are legally entitled to. This has been the result
of our slave minded people for many decades. If only we picked up the phone to
complain, as much as we pick it up to send stupid WhatsApp messages or check on
some dumb shit, we’d be able to nip corruption and bribery in the bud, and
straighten out the system.
Even with a very responsive
government at the Centre, if we citizens don’t even care to report corruption,
it’s hardly the government we should be blaming.
If you don’t have the number of
your local vigilance department and that of your ward councilor on your phone,
don’t even mention you being against corruption, please.
